General Description of Psychology Program

Foundation & Recognition

Cag University was established in 1997 with the law no. Official Gazette: July 9, 1997, Issue: 23050NOC Approval: 13.04.2005 / 007700

Psychology Thesis / Non-Thesis Master's Program was established with the permission of YÖK 18.10.2013-65145 number 75850160-104.01.03-7686 in order to increase specialization in psychology.

Qualification Awarded

A student who wants to study in a Master's / Non-Thesis Program in Psychology has to have completed a four-year degree program in any department in a university with a domestic or international equivalence and must have a minimum score of 55 from ALES. Specific Admission Requirements

Students who have started master program in other domestic and international programs can apply in accordance with regulations of Çağ University and YÖK. For detailed information, please see Cag University Student Admission Requirements.

Specific Arrangements For Recognition Of  Prior Learning (Formal, Non-Formal And İnformal)

Students enrolled in other universities can transfer to Çağ University after completing their first semester. All other courses with passing grades and courses with the same content of other universities will be covered by the exemption.

Qualification Requirements And Regulations

A student is required to have a minimum CGPA of 2.00/4.00 and no failing grades.

Profile Of The Programme

Psychology Program is designed to equip the students with both theoretical and practical knowledge of the psychology.

Occupational Profiles Of Graduates With Examples

Graduates of Psychology with Thesis / Non-Thesis Program have the opportunity to work in public and private sector, non-governmental organizations and other similar organizations.

Access To Further Studies

Students may apply to masters and doctorate programs in Psychology and Psychological Counseling and Guidance Departments.

Examination Regulations, Assessment And Grading

The examination regulations are specified for each course. However, generally, there is one Midterm Exam and one Final Exam for each course. See the exam regulations, assessment and grading of each course in the Course Structure Diagram for details.

Graduation Requirements

The graduation requirements for the Psychology Program are as same as the general qualification requirements and regulations of Çağ University. There is no additional requirements to secure the B.Sc. Degree. The Degree provides that the student has passed all the courses in the curriculum with at least a letter grade of DD and a cumulative grade point average (CGPA) of at least 2.00 out of 4.00.
