PRIVATE LAW MASTER DEGREE PROGRAM

Goals:

  • The main goal of Private Law Master Degree Program, is to give a specialize education in specific areas of private law, to create new career opportunities for participants and to produce an added value in terms of the science of law.
  • In addition, the resolution of a number of deficiencies of the undergraduate degree learning is aimed by informing students about the international dimension of the science of law and the emerging disciplines. 
  • In this context, the program's objectives intend to expand the knowledge of students in the field of private law.

Objectives:

  • To equip the students with the methods and techniques of scientific research, thereby to help them on how to make a research on their interested areas, how to get information and benefit from these sources and, how use the information in order to reach a synthesis by using scientific methods.  
  • To give in - depth information to the students on chosen specialized fields, to encourage research at both national and international level in their fields, as well as to assist to enter into universal legal society.

Foundation & Recognition

The Institute of Social Sciences of Çağ University was founded in 1997 to educate and develop prospective leaders, managers, and entrepreneurs in private and public business organizations.

Private Law Master Degree Program has been approved to give a specialize education in specific areas of private law.

Certified by Higher Education Council: 26.09.2005 / 021336 - 2231

Qualification Awarded

The students who have successfully completed the program will be awarded with a Masters Degree Diploma on Private Law.

Students who have started master's degree studies in other domestic or international universities may apply for admission according to Regulations of Council of Higher Education and Çağ University.

Specific Arrangements For Recognition Of  Prior Learning (Formal, Non-Formal And İnformal)

Students who have studied at other Universities may transfer Çağ University Programmes. Exemption is given for any other courses which have already been taken from other universities with passing grades and same content.

Qualification Requirements And Regulations

A student is required to have a minimum CGPA of 2.00/4.00 and no failing grades.

Profile Of The Programme

Private Law Master Degree Program is designed to equip the students with both theoretical and practical knowledge of the contemporary private law and so to develop their skills for the jobs in public and private organizations.

Occupational Profiles Of Graduates With Examples

Graduated students have opportunity to work in public and private institutions as managers or start their own small businesses. Most of them work in their family corporations and the others work in a wide range of business organizations.

Access To Further Studies

Students may apply to doctorate programs (Third cycle programs).

Examination Regulations, Assessment And Grading

The examination regulations are specified for each course. However, generally, there is 1 Midterm Exam, 1 Final Exam and term paper for each course. See the exam regulations, assessment and grading of each course in the Course Structure Diagram for details.

Graduation Requirements

The graduation requirements for Private Law Master Degree Program are as the same as the general qualification requirements and regulations of Çağ University. There is no additional requirement to secure the Private Law Degree provided that the students have passed all the courses in the curriculum with at least a DD grade, had a cumulative gross point average of at least 2.00 out of 4.00.

PRIVATE LAW MASTER DEGREE PROGRAM OUTCOMES (PO)

A successful candidate should be able to:

  1. Develop the theoretical knowledge acquired at undergraduate level on the basis of the information in the field of private law at expertise level and understand the interdisciplinary interaction,
  2. Combine theoretical and practical knowledge in the field of Private Law with new gained information from different disciplinary areas; and resolve the disputes, especially those related to judicial organs, with using scientific research methods,
  3. Develop new strategic approaches and produce solutions regarding special problems in the field of Private Law practice, especially at those common disputes at the judicial bodies,
  4. Evaluate information in the field of private law, with a critical eye to the rules of positive law, carry out independent advanced studies, prepare legislation considering the social needs,
  5. Follow up the developments in the field of Private Law discipline and national and international judicial decisions; transfer their own work with other disciplines in a systematic way,
  6. Communicate verbally and in writing at least with one foreign language; use advanced information and communication technologies with required level of computer software in the area,
  7. Data collection in the field Private Law, its interpretation, taking into consideration the scientific and ethical values at the introduction of social stages, as well as teach and control over these values,
  8. Implement absorbed information in the field of private law and problem solving techniques at inter-disciplinary studies.

LAW-501 - Property Regimes in Family Law

Within the scope of this course, first of all, the importance of property regimes in family law will be emphasized, the principles regarding the property regime in the periods of the Turkish Civil Code No. 743 and the Turkish Civil Law No. 4721 will be explained, the conditions and form conditions of the establishment of the property regime contract will be examined. According to the Turkish Civil Code numbered 4721, the goods groups in the regime of participating in acquired goods, which is a legal property regime, will be classified and each will be announced. In the legal property regime, the concepts of liquidation of the property regime and the share of value increase, values ​​to be added, equalization, participation receivables will be explained and case studies will be made and examples from practice will be given. The reasons and consequences of the termination of the legal property regime and the conditions for transition to the extraordinary property regime will be explained. Establishment and liquidation of property segregation, shared property segregation and property partnership regimes and allocation method will be explained. In practice, precedent decisions regarding disputes arising from the liquidation of the property regime will be resolved.

The aim of this course is to examine the interaction of economic and political processes. Students will be given theoretical and practical knowledge about the structure of the international economic system and the complex interaction process of political institutions.


MAN-511 - Digital Marketing

The aim of this course is to develop students' theoretical and practical skills about current digital marketing trends. digital marketing strategies, digital marketing mix, preparation of marketing campaigns on digital platforms, marketing communication on digital platforms and digital marketing applications used globally. In addition, the development of digital marketing, the current situation, problems encountered in practice and solutions will be discussed in the course. In the era of ongoing digitalization, the basic components of marketing have been reshaped and integrated with technology. The aim of this course is to provide the students with the knowledge about the basic concepts, methods and tools of digital marketing, to gain the skills of analyzing and applying digital marketing examples.


LAW-514 - Responsibility of the Management Body in Civil Law Legal Entities

The concept of legal entity and its results, Theories of Legal Entity, Responsibility of the Board of the Association to the Association and Members of the Association, the Board of the Association, the Responsibility of the Foundation's Management Body, the Ultra Vires Principle in Civil Law Legal Entities, the Responsibility of the Members of the Board of the Union, Sports Responsibility of the Members of the Board of Directors of the Club, Responsibility of Political Party Managers, Responsibility of Apartment Managers according to the Law on Property Ownership, The Theory of Opening the Curtain of Legal Entity in Civil Law Legal Entities, Release of the Civil Law Legal Entities. Within the scope of this course, the importance of the governing body in civil law legal entities will be emphasized, the legal regime under which the governing bodies of private law legal entities are subject to the Turkish Civil Code No. 4721 and other laws, Legal personality theories, the responsibility of the association's board of directors against the association and third parties, The responsibility of the foundation governing body, the ultra vires principle in civil law legal entities, the responsibility of the members of the board of directors of the union, the responsibility of the board members of the sports club, the responsibility of the political party managers, the responsibility of the apartment managers according to the Property Ownership Law, The theory of opening the curtain of legal personality in civil law legal entities and, The disputes arising in civil law legal entities with regard to acquittal issues and legal liability of civil law legal entities will be examined.


LAW-517 - New Developments in Czech law

The scope of our course, the ability to borrow checks, payment and presentation in checks, checks depending on the special payment method, application rights in case of non-payment, withdrawal of the check out of will, transfer of checks, responsibility, the results of the check presentation in terms of follow-up law, check timeout, authorized checks in turnover, unrequited checks issues that create hesitations such as checks and arouse hesitations are also explained in a practical way with tricks. The aim of this course is to explain the concept of checks and to teach the elements of checks commonly used in practice, its distinctive features, usage and functioning and new developments in this subject.


TDE-518 - Classical Ottoman Turkish - II

Students who have the ability to read Ottoman Turkish texts should develop their skills of reading high-level texts and translating these texts into contemporary language. For this, semantic analysis of such texts chosen from different fields should be attempted with both grammatical structure and historical / cultural background readings.


LAW-520 - Health Law and Ethics

The aim of this course is to provide an understanding of the health law and ethics in an appropriate way by explaining the basic concepts of health law and ethics.

This course consists of Joint Stock Companies and its legal procedure of establishment, operation and termination. The provisions enacting the joint stock companies in Turkish law system are stated in Company Law Course. General definition of joint stock companies is given in the frame of these provisions. According to this definition, the elements of joint stock company affairs and the differences from similar affairs are determined. Also this course consists of solutions of problems about joint stock companies that come along in practice.


LAW-566 - Execution and Bankruptcy Crimes

This course includes the consequences of many of these places, witnesses of crimes, the decision of the criminal court during the visit, the consequences of the sentence, etc. Oral procedure, special cases in the case, remedies, final judgment institution, renewal of proceedings, joint provisions, special courts, arbitration. Execution and Bankruptcy Law ensures that the debtor, who cannot / cannot fulfill his debt with his consent, is forced to fulfill his debt through state power-enforcement bodies.
