The main objective of this course is to teach students the philosophy, concepts, and practical tools of establishing and managing a business. To achieve these outcomes, the course covers topics such as risk-taking and profit-making in a dynamic business environment, the impact of the economy on the business world, conducting business in global markets, behaviors requiring ethics and social responsibility, types of business ownership, and business management.


IFN-101 Financial Literacy

The aim of this course is to inform students about the fundamental concepts of finance, enabling them to acquire knowledge on savings, accessing financial resources, utilizing acquired resources, and converting them into investments. Students taking this course will possess the necessary information for choosing financial instruments used in everyday life.


MAT-101 Mathematics for Businesses

This course serves as an introduction to mathematics and business science. Topics covered include real number systems, inequalities, functions and their graphical representations, linear equations, linear system equations, the least squares method, linear functions, linear cost, income and profit functions, break-even analysis, quadratic functions, exponential and logarithmic functions.


TUR-101 Turkish

The aim of this course is to teach students the rules of the Turkish language, enabling them to express themselves clearly and efficiently. Techniques such as panel discussions, symposiums, conferences, etc., are employed to enhance listening skills. The course covers oral and written expression through presentations, analysis of novels, stories, essays, poems, compositions, magazine and newspaper reviews, spelling and punctuation, sentence elements, sentence types, narrative disorders, types of written expression, thought essays, oral expression types, and prepared/unprepared speaking activities.


UNI-101 Introduction to University Life

Introduction to University Life aims to familiarize newly enrolled students with Çağ University and university life in terms of its social, cultural, and academic aspects. It covers topics related to helping students adapt to university life.


FLE-103 Vocational English I

This course aims to expand students' vocabulary for the business world by creating original contexts with new words, phrases, and speeches. Throughout the semester, it focuses on providing language input in an understandable way, structuring language knowledge, and improving reading and listening skills.


OSD-109 Theater

The fundamental goal of this theater course is to help students understand the importance of performing arts and explore various aspects of theater. Students will learn basic skills such as writing, directing, performing, and analyzing theater plays. Additionally, they will gain personal and social skills such as developing empathy, learning body language and voice control, enhancing character development abilities, and overcoming stage fright.


OSD-111 Diction

Diction involves delivering beautiful and effective speech, interpreting literature, and transforming speech into art.


OSD-131 Financial Literacy

The aim of this course is to inform students about the fundamental concepts of finance, enabling them to acquire knowledge on savings, accessing financial resources, utilizing acquired resources, and converting them into investments. OSD-133 Disaster Management

This course provides basic disaster awareness education according to AFAD's recommendations for individuals and families, including basic disaster consciousness training, first aid knowledge, amateur radio knowledge, information about debris removal tools, disaster psychology knowledge, and compliance with national and international standards.


OSD-135 Volunteer Work

Within the framework of the concept of volunteering, this course aims to strengthen the ties between students' educational experiences and the community throughout their education, raise awareness about various issues and problems in society, and develop human, social, technological, economic, etc., skills and values through various volunteer activities.


OSD-139 Communication Skills

Definition of communication and effective communication, elements and characteristics of communication, language used, self-awareness, effective listening and feedback, factors that hinder and facilitate communication, persuasive communication, the role and use of emotions in communication, effective communication techniques, conflict in communication and its prevention, non-verbal communication skills, social behavior rules in social life; etiquette and courtesy, communication applications, and the adoption of communication with other disciplines.


OSD-141 Health Literacy

The purpose of this course is to increase students' knowledge and skills related to health, enhance their competence in making decisions about basic health concepts, diseases, healthy lifestyle behaviors, and access to health services. Additionally, it aims to support students in making informed decisions about basic health rights and adopting a healthy lifestyle.


OSD-143 Leadership Skills

The Leadership Skills course aims to provide students with the basic knowledge, skills, and understanding necessary to effectively assume leadership and managerial roles. The course offers students the opportunity to develop communication, problem-solving, decision-making, time management, teamwork, and leadership skills. It also helps students understand ethical responsibilities and management principles in the business world.


OSD-145 Tennis

The Tennis course aims to teach students the basic rules and skills of the tennis game. This course provides students with the opportunity to learn ball control, hitting techniques, foot movement, game strategies, and the fundamental aspects of competitive play. Additionally, it emphasizes physical activity to increase physical endurance, improve reflexes, and promote the enjoyment of sports. Tennis offers students the opportunity to learn valuable life skills such as discipline, concentration, and sports ethics.


OSD-147 Green Social Service

The main objective of the Green Social Service course is to enable students to develop an innovative approach that combines environmental sustainability and social welfare. This course aims to help students understand how better service can be provided to communities while combating environmental issues. Students will be taught various methods, policies, and practices to acquire skills in using natural resources efficiently, developing environmental protection strategies, and ensuring social justice. The course aims to equip students with leadership abilities in the field of green social service, simultaneously supporting the well-being of both the environment and society.

MAN-100 International Business

This course provides students with the fundamental concepts necessary to understand the structures of companies operating in the global business world. Within the scope of international business, students have the opportunity to understand global business strategies by examining cultural, economic, political, and legal differences, as well as the dynamics of competition in international markets. The course teaches strategies that can be developed to enhance the competitiveness of businesses and demonstrates the application and analysis of these strategies. Additionally, the course focuses on current international business events and success stories, aiming to increase students' understanding of practical applications in this field.


FEAS-102 Career Planning

The Career Planning course aims to provide students with the opportunity to plan their future careers, set career goals, and prepare for a successful career in the business world. This course includes career planning processes such as career exploration, skill development, self-assessment, and job search strategies. It guides students in recognizing their own talents and interests, setting career goals, and achieving these goals.


MAT-102 Statistics for Businesses

This course introduces students to descriptive and inferential statistics applications in various areas, such as international finance, international trade, and other business domains.


TUR-102 Turkish II

This course aims to help students understand the more complex aspects of the Turkish language, apply grammar rules, and improve their writing skills. The course covers fundamental topics such as written and oral communication, grammar rules, and punctuation. It also provides students with literary analysis and writing practice.


ECO-104 Economics

The purpose of this course is to teach students the fundamental concepts of microeconomics and macroeconomics. Topics covered include economic problems encountered in everyday life, supply and demand, price determination and market equilibrium, elasticity, production and cost concepts, market structures, economic inequality, economic growth, and the measurement of GDP and economic growth.


FLE-104 Vocational English II

This course covers business-related vocabulary and structures. The aim is to introduce students to the language used in the business management sector and to enhance their ability to read and understand articles or texts related to business management.

HIS-201 Principles of Atatürk and History of Revolution I

This course covers the establishment, rise, decline, and collapse of the Ottoman Empire, the causes and consequences of World War I, the preparation, execution, and results of the National Struggle, and the principles and revolutions of Atatürk. It aims for students to define the basic topics, including the principles and revolutions of Atatürk, also known as "Kemalism," with a focus on the content of the "Atatürkist Thought System."


LAW-201 Law I

This course covers the function of law in society, a comparison of the supremacy of law with religious, traditional, and moral rules, the distinction between public law and private law, the concepts of legal relationships and legal rights, types of rights, right holders and types, legal rights, acquisition, loss, and protection of legal rights, as well as legal transactions and processes.


FLE-203 Vocational English III

This course is designed to significantly improve students' oral and written communication skills in technical fields and report presentations. By the end of the course, students will have learned to give advice formally and informally, use indefinite pronouns, express past habits, make a formal request, use gerunds with nouns, passive sentence structure and usage, among other skills.


MAN-203 Principles of Accounting

This course focuses on how companies prepare their financial statements in the accounting process. It teaches the accounting of transactions, especially in terms of current and non-current assets, and guides students in applying the accounting rules and principles needed to obtain financial statements as practiced. After preparing financial statements, students are directed to make a general evaluation.


MAN-205 Principles of Management

The main objective of this course is to teach the fundamental functions of management. Students will also have the opportunity to acquire knowledge about managerial issues such as the environment, technology, and change. Another goal of the course is to develop students' skills in applying planning, organizing, directing, and controlling techniques in future work environments.


OSD-205 Disadvantaged Groups

The purpose of this course is to inform students taking the elective course about groups and communities that are disadvantaged due to various social problems in society. The main focus of the course is to address social issues affecting society, such as poverty, disability, aging, gender inequality, disasters, migrations, crime, and addiction, and to examine disadvantaged groups with special needs in society in relation to these problems.


OSD-201 Individual Entrepreneurship

The aim of this course is to explain the concept of entrepreneurship in the context of individual entrepreneurship and create awareness of individual entrepreneurship among students. The course covers topics such as entrepreneurship and individual entrepreneurship concepts, characteristics of individual entrepreneurs, factors that distinguish individual entrepreneurs, and factors that lead entrepreneurs to success.


OSD-215 Sustainable Development Studies

The Sustainable Development Studies course aims to help students understand global and local sustainable development principles and implement them. The course emphasizes the concept of sustainability, which includes environmental, economic, and social dimensions, and teaches students how to achieve sustainable development goals. It also creates awareness in areas such as social justice, environmental protection, resource management, and economic development. The course aims to develop students into conscious leaders who can sensitively address global issues and cope with them, contributing to the well-being of future generations and the sustainability of the planet.


OSD-213 Critical Thinking and Social Sciences

This course examines critical thinking in functionalist, interpretive, humanistic, and structuralist perspectives. Critical thinking, with its higher explanatory and predictive potential than traditional and mainstream thinking, not only investigates existing social practices but also discusses what can be and should be. It offers a roadmap for the researcher's constructive will, emphasizing the need to review methods used to explain physical reality to explain social reality. New methods that explain social practices in their unique social, historical, political, cultural, and economic contexts need to be introduced.


OSD-211 Understanding Economics with Numbers

In this course, the basic concepts of microeconomics and macroeconomics are explained with numerical examples. Topics covered include understanding economic problems encountered in daily life, the importance of supply and demand, basic information on the price system, balance, production and production costs, market structures, and calculations of gross domestic product (GDP). The course also covers economic growth, employment/unemployment, inflation, economic stability, and economic policies (fiscal and monetary policies).


OSD-203 Family Sociology

This course covers the formation of families and family types, changes in family structure due to industrialization, intra-family relationships (intra-family power and authority relationships, horizontal and vertical communication in intra-family relationships), gender roles, and the value of children in different societies. Various family structures in different societies are examined comparatively over historical periods. Problematic issues such as intra-family inequality, violence, sexual abuse, divorce, single-parent families, step-parents, and spouse preferences are discussed and analyzed in the course.


OSD-207 Our Seas: Blue Homeland

This course discusses the importance of seas, the legal rules governing seas, the definition of maritime jurisdiction areas, the meaning of the concept of the "Blue Homeland," and our rights and interests in our seas, including the Turkish Straits.


OSD-209 Social Responsibility Project

The Social Responsibility Project course offers students the opportunity to plan, implement, and evaluate projects addressing social issues in their communities or globally to contribute to meeting social needs. The course aims to develop students' empathy, leadership, communication, and collaboration skills. It also increases awareness of social issues such as sustainability, environmental awareness, and ethical responsibility. The Social Responsibility Project course aims to equip students with the ability to contribute to society and promote social change, fostering them as active and responsible citizens. The course helps students understand the value of social responsibility and develop skills to implement effective projects.

 

Second Year, Fourth Semester (Spring Semester)

HIS-202 Principles of Atatürk and History of Revolution II

Efforts towards the establishment of a modern state from the Treaty of Lausanne and the foundation of the Republic of Turkey in 1923 until 1938, marked by Atatürk's death, are examined in this study. The focus encompasses legal, social, and cultural reforms implemented during this period, as well as an exploration of economic and foreign policy initiatives within the context of the republican era. The internal political landscape and the role of political parties are also scrutinized. The thought system, principles, and objectives of Mustafa Kemal Atatürk are analyzed, shedding light on his overarching vision. Finally, the study delves into the main policies and reforms that defined Mustafa Kemal Atatürk's leadership during this crucial period in Turkish history.


LAW-202 Law II

The aim of this course is to provide students with information about commercial enterprise law and the concept of a company. Classification of commercial companies; ordinary, collective, commandite, limited, and joint-stock companies; the concept of negotiable instruments and types of negotiable instruments regulated in the Turkish Commercial Code are some of the topics covered in this course.


FLE-204 Vocational English IV

MAN-204 Financial Accounting

This course focuses on how companies prepare their financial statements in the accounting process, particularly the accounting of transactions in terms of short and long-term liabilities and equity. After preparing financial statements, students are directed to evaluate them in a general sense, applying the accounting rules and principles necessary to obtain financial statements as practiced.


MAN-220 Organizational Behavior

In this course designed in line with the objectives of the course, practical and theoretical knowledge developed in the field of Organizational Behavior (OB) will be transferred to students. Especially focusing on the basic features of OB; OB design for the global business world; organizational culture and ethical values; employee motivation topics will be intensively discussed, providing information sharing at the level of understanding and comprehension with examples from the world and Turkey.

 

Third Year, Fifth Semester (Fall Semester)

MAN-307 Business Finance

This course examines the effects of investment and financing decisions in businesses on firm value. In this context, the fundamental principles of Business Finance, such as the purpose and function of finance, the role and function of financial managers, the function of financial markets, time value of money, cost of capital, capital budgeting, risk and return concepts, financing function, and the capital structure of the firm, are updated and processed with practical examples.


MAN-319 Production Management

This course introduces various types of problems and issues that arise in the process of operations management. The course provides an opportunity for students to develop knowledge and skills in the field of operations management by highlighting various models, techniques, problem formulation, and managerial results that can be applied. It also focuses on understanding the techniques used in the decision-making process and how a successful operations manager applies these techniques. It provides a general overview of operations research with selected applications from engineering and management systems. It examines the relationship between mathematical modeling methodology and problems encountered in industrial, commercial, and public systems.


MAN-331 Contemporary Marketing Issues

This course provides comprehensive knowledge about current marketing practices, strategies, and methods reshaped by technology within the framework of the basic concepts and principles of marketing. The rapid changes brought about by digitalization have led to significant differences in marketing strategies in the global world. In this course, the technological effects on business and marketing strategies are examined both theoretically and through case studies. In addition, within the scope of the importance of sustainability in today's world, the course discusses the current issues that businesses face in achieving sustainability goals and examines solutions brought by businesses through case studies.

ECO-305 Money and Banking

The course focuses on the functioning of the financial system, determination of money and interest rates, money supply, the purpose and tools of monetary policy, the Central Bank of the Republic of Turkey, monetary theory, and monetary transmission mechanisms.


IRE-333 EU Policies

This course examines the historical development and political-economic integration process of the European Union (EU) since 1945. Focusing on the role of EU institutions such as the European Commission, the European Council, and the European Parliament in the integration process, the course explores the current structure and problems of the Union, emphasizing expansion strategies. It also examines common policy areas such as the Common Security and Defense Policy, Economic and Monetary Union. In light of current developments, the course discusses Turkey's stages and current problems on the path to European Union membership.


ITL-313 Virtual Worlds

The course will be conducted through an online virtual environment, Second Life, using avatars. Students will see how the virtual environment works and evaluate the creation of virtual content. This course aims to teach students how to manage effective teamwork in a virtual and cross-cultural environment while dealing with various obstacles such as cultural differences, language barriers, time differences, technological problems, etc. The course will also provide an opportunity for collaboration and networking among participants and instructors from different disciplines, institutions, and cultures. Technological components of Virtual Worlds, ethical and social issues related to Virtual Worlds will be covered in this course. Thus, after a semester of study, students will be able to understand the role of Virtual Worlds in contemporary society.


ITL-305 New Technologies for Businesses

The course provides an examination of digital transformation from both technological aspects and the perspectives of market and business, including an analysis of policy and regulatory initiatives affecting digitalization processes. This includes examining the infrastructure of networks, the management and processing of data, and the examination of digital services and applications offered for use, including business processes and services, models, and ecosystems. Additionally, policy initiatives and regulatory measures functioning at this point, including EU policies in the region, will be discussed. Thus, after a semester of study, students will be able to understand the impact of digitalization on contemporary society.


MAN-329 Customer Relationship Management

The ability to build real relationships with your customers is directly proportional to your knowledge of them. Relationships between consumers, producers, and other individuals and organizations are important. The true customers of many businesses are the most important factor in the company's success. At the end of this course, students learn ways and the importance of developing better and lasting relationships with customers.

 

Third Year, Sixth Semester (Spring Semester)

MAN-308 Operations Research

This course examines the evolution and basic features of the field of operations research. The next stage deals with the process of mathematical modeling and the application of these models in different areas of business functions, focusing on the concept of linear programming. The course covers different techniques for solving linear programming models, starting from the graphical solution method. In addition, appropriate solution methods and techniques focused on obtaining optimal results in various areas such as transportation and assignment problems are also shown. Finally, the course focuses on game theory, teaching students the basic concepts in this field. This process provides students with a framework for understanding and applying core topics within the operations research discipline.


MAN-310 Financial Management

The Financial Management course examines the function of the finance function and the basic principles of financial analysis. In this context; Accounting-finance relations, financial statements, financial statement analysis, short and long-term financial planning, risk and return relations, debt and equity financing decisions, profit distribution policies, working capital management issues are discussed. During the semester, students; A project is carried out on a company registered with the ISE, using fundamental and technical analysis techniques.

This course focuses on the relationship between technology and business so that students can have a comprehensive understanding of the basic terms, concepts and definitions related to electronic commerce. In addition, basic topics such as e-commerce terms and concepts, e-markets, technological structure of e-commerce, e-supply chains, establishing and operating a successful electronic company and security are taught to students.

This course will cover all stages of business research processes, as well as the collection and analysis of data in a real research project. A variety of methods, both quantitative and qualitative, will be used to collect and interpret data for a specific problem. Ethical issues that arise during the research process will also be addressed. In addition, this course aims to develop students' critical thinking problem-solving skills as well as their use of computer-based programs to analyze research data.

The course provides an examination of the technology aspects of digital transformation, as well as the market and business aspects, and the policy and regulatory initiatives affecting digitalization processes. This includes examining business processes and services, including network infrastructures, management and processing of data and digital services and applications made available, business models and ecosystems. Additionally, policy initiatives and regulatory measures operating at this point, including EU policies in the region, will be discussed. IRE-340 Social Movements

This course examines the causes of social movements, their emergence conditions, their development, their effects on the globalization process and their results. Within the scope of the course, social movements taking place in various countries and regions are discussed together with their historical processes and background developments. In this regard, anti-globalization, anti-nuclearism, environmental movements and similar issues are among the topics to be discussed.


MAN-344 Social Media Marketing

Social Media Marketing Course aims to provide students with the skills to create digital marketing strategies and use social media platforms effectively. This course emphasizes to students the role of social media in business and brand management and enables students to develop their ability to plan, implement and analyze social media marketing campaigns. At the same time, it provides students with information on topics such as target audience analysis, content production, advertising, measurement and interaction strategies. The Social Media Marketing Course provides students with the skills to gain a competitive advantage in the digital marketing world, increase brand awareness and strengthen customer relationships, while providing students with the opportunity to be aware of current marketing trends and technological developments. This course creates a strong foundation for students to succeed as social media marketing professionals in the business world.

 

Fourth Year, Seventh Semester (Fall Semester)

MAN-401 Human Resources Management

This course focuses on understanding human resource management in complex organizations. The course content, which offers a comprehensive perspective, covers personnel selection and recruitment, training and development, performance evaluation and rewarding, etc. It addresses the most basic issues in the field of human resources. Additionally, throughout the course, students are given the opportunity to understand these issues in depth through various scenario analyses, case studies, field visits and project assignments. In this way, it is aimed for students to understand the basic principles, strategies and practical applications of human resources management.


ECO-403 Turkish Economy

This course focuses on the rich historical past of the Turkish economy and explains its transformation, economic crises, sectoral structure, foreign economic relations and basic economic problems. In addition, the course aims to provide students with the ability to understand Turkey's economic evolution, evaluate economic problems and develop solution proposals.


MAN-433 Business Ethics and Social Responsibility

This course is designed to provide analysis and examination of important contemporary ethical issues and challenges that exist in the professional business world. Emphasis will be placed on the manager's social and environmental responsibilities to a wide range of stakeholders, including employees, customers and the public. Ethical dilemmas and decision-making frameworks and approaches at personal, organizational and societal levels will be explored. Students' engagement with real-world applications and topics is a critical part of the course. Students are expected to use simple sentences in Chinese while expressing themselves. In the classroom environment, by using the necessary materials and information to maximize student participation in the lesson; Chinese speaking, writing, listening and reading skills are reinforced. Meta-entrepreneurship means creating and managing businesses in virtual reality environments.
