   The Advisory Board Meeting of the Department of International Trade and Logistics was held online on 13 November 2025 under the chairmanship of Assoc. Prof. Dr. Emre Kadir ÖZEKENCİ. The meeting was attended by department academics and representatives of leading firms in the sector.

   During the meeting, information was provided regarding the department curriculum, applied courses, the student-centered teaching approach, and quality processes. Participants shared their opinions and suggestions to ensure that the curriculum aligns with the needs of the sector. Companies stated that they would provide support for technical visits, practical studies, and internships to help students gain hands-on experience.

   The meeting was successfully concluded with the contributions of all participants.

 

 

 

 

 

   In cooperation with the Faculty of Economics and Administrative Sciences and the Çağ Career Development Application and Research Center, Gezairi Academy representatives Başak Yıldırımel and Sinem Karakuş met with students within the scope of the ITL 201 – Transportation Systems course.

   At the event held on 22.10.2025, comprehensive information was provided to students on the establishment process of Gezairi Academy, its fields of activity, and its training programs for the logistics sector. While students had the opportunity to reinforce their theoretical knowledge of transportation systems with real sector examples, they also directly asked the academy representatives questions regarding career opportunities, internship possibilities, and the competencies sought in the sector.

   The event concluded as an efficient meeting with high student participation, enhancing participants' sectoral awareness and making significant contributions to their career planning in the field of logistics.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

   Within the scope of the ITL 101 – International Trade course conducted by the Department of International Trade and Logistics at Çağ University, Hande Kara Zengin, International Trade and Logistics Manager at Beta Energy, and Özge Kurt, International Trade and Logistics Specialist, met with students at the “Sector Executives Meet with Students” event held on 21.10.2025.

   During the event moderated by Assoc. Prof. Dr. Emre Kadir Özekenci, information was shared on the role of the energy sector in foreign trade, export–import processes, logistics planning, sustainable supply chain management, and green energy practices.

   The guest speakers captured students’ attention by sharing current examples regarding digital transformation in the energy sector, carbon-neutral logistics practices, and sustainability policies in foreign trade. In addition, through the information they provided on internship opportunities, career planning in the sector, and pathways for professional development, they made significant contributions to helping students shape their career goals and build connections with the business world.

   At the end of the program, certificates of appreciation were presented to the speakers on behalf of the department.

 

 

 

 

Filenders Logistics Co-Founder & COO Sedat Gökmen, Sales and Pricing Specialist Ali Kaya Koç, South Wind Shipping Chief Marketing Officer Ali Özdemir and Turkish Cargo Air Cargo Operations Specialist İbrahim Ertan Güllüzade attended the ITL 200-Transportation Procedures course as guests. Our guests shared their knowledge and experiences to contribute to the work of the student presentation groups and provided valuable information about current practices and career opportunities in the logistics and transportation sector. This meaningful meeting significantly contributed to our students developing their sectoral perspectives and reinforcing their theoretical knowledge with practice.

 

 

 

 

 

   Summit'24 Logistics Seminar, which was held in cooperation with the International Trade and Logistics Department, Career Club and Career Center with the participation of Turkish Airlines Cargo Marketing and Sales Specialist Osman Cerit, Koluman Automotive Military Project Logistics Specialist Özge Varol, Mars Logistics Air Cargo Adana Office Unit Manager Burak Ünveren, and Filenders Logistics and Technology CEO Olcay Gülşen. It took place in the Prof. Dr. İlhan Yücel conference hall.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 "Hepsiburada Southern Anatolia Regional Directorate" Center Visit was held on 05.01.2023 within the scope of the "ITL-409 Logistics Information Systems" course, which is given to 4th grade students of the Department of International Trade and Logistics and is responsible for Asst Prof. Dr. Emre Kadir ÖZEKENCİ.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 In cooperation with the Mersin Customs Consultancy Association Members and the Faculty Members of our Faculty, an information seminar on "Requirements for Being a Customs Consultant, Customs Consultancy Penal Sanctions and Customs Legislation" was held for our students on Thursday, 22.12.2022, in the Plaza-3 classroom.
