General Description of Psychology Program

Foundation & Recognition

Çağ University, Psychology Department was founded in 2011 with the objective of training well qualified psychologists working in public and private institutions with the following article and number: 2880; Article. 7/d-2, 7/h.

Psychology Program was opened to train students in the science of psychology. It provides courses in the tracks of psychology in a balanced manner so that the graduates can look for employment  in all types of institutions related with theoretical or applied psychology.

Qualification Awarded

The students who have successfully completed the program will be awarded with a four year undergraduate Degree in Psychology.

Specific Admission Requirements

Students who have started studying in other domestic or international universities may apply for admission according to Regulations of Council of Higher Education and Cag University.

Specific Arrangements For Recognition Of  Prior Learning (Formal, Non-Formal And İnformal)

Students from other universities may transfer to the Psychology Programme of Çağ University, after completion of the first two semesters of their existing programs.

Exemptions are possible for courses which have been taken with passing grades and same content from other universities.

Qualification Requirements And Regulations

A student is required to have a minimum GPA of 2.00/4.00 and no failing grades.

Profile Of The Programme

Psychology Program is designed to equip the students with both theoretical and practical knowledge of the psychology.

Occupational Profiles Of Graduates With Examples

Graduated students have opportunity to work in public and private institutions or organizations as a psychologist, counsellor, educational consultant, academics.

Access To Further Studies

Students may apply to masters and doctorate programs in Psychology and Psychological Counseling and Guidance Departments.

Examination Regulations, Assessment And Grading

The examination regulations are specified for each course. However, generally, there is one Midterm Exam and one Final Exam for each course. See the exam regulations, assessment and grading of each course in the Course Structure Diagram for details.

Graduation Requirements

The graduation requirements for the Psychology Program are as same as the general qualification requirements and regulations of Çağ University. There is no additional requirements to secure the B.Sc. Degree. The Degree provides that the student has passed all the courses in the curriculum with at least a letter grade of DD and a cumulative grade point average (CGPA) of at least 2.00 out of 4.00.
