About Our Training Programs

Our library conducts planned training programs throughout the year in order to support academic research processes, enhance information literacy, and ensure the effective use of electronic resources.

Our training programs are carried out under two main categories: internal and external activities.

Internal trainings are planned in line with the needs of our academic staff, students, and administrative personnel. These trainings cover topics such as literature review techniques, citation and impact analysis tools, open access publishing processes, database usage, and academic writing support. They are offered in formats including online webinars, face-to-face sessions, and in-service training.

External trainings include participation in webinars, workshops, and conferences organized by national and international database providers, publishing organizations, and professional platforms. Through these participations, the professional development of our library staff is supported, and up-to-date knowledge and practices are transferred to our institution.

The training content is continuously updated based on user feedback, needs analysis, and current developments in academic publishing. Our library aims to be not only a unit that provides access to information resources but also an active academic stakeholder that supports every stage of the research process.

Within the scope of the third phase of the Open Access Agreement carried out between TÜBİTAK ULAKBİM and Springer Nature, the opportunity for our researchers to publish open access free of charge in Springer hybrid journals has been reactivated as of January 1, 2026.

The second webinar of the year, where the details of the agreement will be shared, will be held on the date specified below.
