As a result of the voting on projects conducted throughout the year by 42 countries within Erasmus Student Network International, the most successful ESN project was selected as "Camp of Future," carried out by ESN Çağ and the TPÖÇG Local Project Team. The ESN Çağ club’s board of directors also received an award in the trainingSTAR category for their "Awareness of Disability Team" training, bringing two awards to ESN Turkey. We congratulate the ESN Çağ board members and volunteer trainers who contributed to this success!
Our university’s 4th-year Psychology student, Zeynep Aydın, has been admitted to the Master’s Program in Cognitive Neuroscience and Clinical Neuropsychology at the world-renowned University of Padua in Italy.
Among numerous applicants from various countries around the world, our student secured admission with a full scholarship, ranking second in the selection process. She will continue her career in neuroscience at the University of Padua, where she has set her goals. We congratulate our student and wish her continued success.
Our university’s 3rd-year Psychology student, Özge İŞLER, has been appointed as the Turkey Social Inclusion Project Coordinator within Erasmus Student Network, Europe’s largest student network. Our student will represent ESN Turkey in this long-term program of ESN International.
The English legal ranking organization Legal500 has published the list of Turkey's 100 most influential corporate lawyers. Our university’s Law Faculty graduate, Tuna Yasin DOYUK, surpassed thousands of lawyers to secure a place on this prestigious list, making us proud. Tuna Yasin DOYUK, who manages Porland Porcelain’s operations in Turkey and the UK and is registered with the Istanbul Bar Association, is also registered as an affiliate member of the New York State Bar. We congratulate our graduate Tuna and wish him continued success.
Within the Faculty of Economics and Administrative Sciences, the “Education in Virtual Worlds Project” was implemented during the 2019-2020 academic year under the leadership of Project Coordinator and course instructor Dr. Murat Gülmez, along with Dr. Saadet Sağtaş and Research Assistant Gizem Koçak, with the participation of our students. As part of the project, education was provided to our Faculty of Economics and Administrative Sciences students on a 3D virtual campus created for this purpose.Within the course, in collaboration with the charity organization “Feed a Smile - Live and Learn in Kenya Int'l,” a fundraising event was organized to help disadvantaged children living in Nakuru, Kenya. Through a concert, games, and other activities organized in the virtual world with the participation of our students, donations were collected to cover the one-day food needs of children studying under the Live and Learn in Kenya organization.By demonstrating how new technologies such as virtual worlds impact the development of society and individuals, and through the involvement of exemplary charitable organizations, this event in the virtual world conveyed valuable lessons to our students. At the conclusion of the event, the happiness of both our students and the children in need was truly remarkable.The children sent their thanks with photographs to our university, the course instructor, and our students.
