18- It is recommended that candidates who are National Athletes review the announcement related to the memorandum of understanding signed between the Ministry of Youth and Sports and foundation and state universities, which is included on the following pages of this guide, and obtain information regarding the matter from the relevant higher education institution. 21- Scholarships to be granted, including the compulsory preparatory class (excluding optional preparatory classes), cover the following: Full Scholarship: covers the entire tuition fee; 50% Discount: covers half of the tuition fee; and 25% Discount: covers one quarter of the tuition fee. Students are responsible for paying the remaining part of the tuition fee. Scholarships/discounts in scholarship/discounted programs continue for one year in the preparatory class and for the normal duration of the program (provided that the student continues their education and attends classes) and will not be interrupted before the end of this period. Scholarships/discounts in these programs are non-refundable, and in case the student discontinues their education and leaves the program, no tuition fee corresponding to the scholarship/discount rate will be requested from the students who leave. The relevant higher education institution may allow a scholarship/discount period longer than this duration. Higher education institutions may, in accordance with their own regulations, register students who are their own or transferred from other universities and who have left or been dismissed, or those who have graduated from a higher education program, to tuition-based or other discounted statuses if they place in scholarship or discounted programs according to YKS results; the university reserves the right to register these students only in tuition-based or other discounted programs.
22- Students enrolled in this program who attend the foreign language preparatory class but fail to successfully complete the preparatory class within two years will be dismissed from the program. Students dismissed due to failure in the preparatory class may register, if available, in an equivalent program with Turkish as the medium of instruction at their own higher education institution. However, if they request, the Student Selection and Placement Center (Ölçme, Seçme ve Yerleştirme Merkezi Başkanlığı) may centrally place them in one of the Turkish-medium programs, on the condition that the relevant YKS score of the student in the year of registration is not below the base score required for placement in the program, and this placement can only be made once.
23- The medium of instruction is English.
24- A compulsory one-year preparatory program is implemented in the medium of instruction of the program, and students who pass the proficiency exam at the end of this program are directly registered to the first year. The preparatory class is not included in the years indicated in the program duration column. Those who document success at the level determined by the university in one of the national and/or international foreign language exams accepted by the university for the relevant language, or who pass the proficiency exam held by the university at the beginning of the academic year in the relevant language, are admitted directly to the first year. The provisions of the "Regulation on the Principles to be Followed in Foreign Language Teaching and Instruction in Foreign Languages in Higher Education Institutions" apply to students.
34- At least 30% of the instruction language in this program is English.

Tuition fees, payment methods, and possible tuition increases may be re-determined each year for enrolled students at a rate deemed appropriate by the Board of Trustees/Administrative Board, considering the TEFE-TÜFE rates. Some higher education institutions may, according to their own regulations, allow only paid or other discounted status registration for their own students or transferred students who have left or been dismissed, or graduates of a higher education program who place in scholarship or discounted programs according to YKS results; the university reserves the right to register these students only in paid or other discounted programs. Candidates in such cases should obtain detailed information from the relevant university before making their preferences. Candidates are advised to carefully review the information on the universities’ websites before making their selections.
