The Eastern Mediterranean Maritime Law Application and Research Center (DADHAM), established within Çağ University, officially commenced its activities with the regulation published in the Official Gazette dated 24 November 2025 and numbered 33087.
Immediately following its establishment, DADHAM took its first significant step by signing a cooperation protocol with DEHUKAM, Turkey’s national center in the field of maritime law.
The protocol was signed by Dr. Mustafa Başkara, Director of DEHUKAM, and Prof. Dr. Murat Koç, Rector of Çağ University.
During the signing ceremony, DADHAM Director Dr. Lecturer Sami Doğru delivered a presentation on the center’s founding objectives and areas of activity. The presentation emphasized the importance of the academic and practice-oriented studies to be carried out in cooperation with DEHUKAM in the Eastern Mediterranean, a region of strategic geopolitical and legal significance.
Through this collaboration, it is aimed to implement high-quality academic studies and practice-oriented projects in the field of maritime law.
