The XI. International Academic Studies Congress was successfully held at Çağ University Yaşar Bayboğan Campus between 28–30 April 2026, with the main theme: “The Psychology of the Artificial Intelligence Era: Human, Society, Technology and Institutional Structures.” The congress was conducted in a hybrid format, both face-to-face and online.
Bringing together a large number of academics, researchers, and industry representatives at national and international levels, the congress was successfully completed with strong global participation. Scholars from many countries, including France, the USA, the United Kingdom, Germany, Pakistan, Malaysia, Azerbaijan, and Uzbekistan, contributed to the event. A total of 519 scientists from 22 different countries participated, presenting 358 scientific papers.
On the opening day, 28 April, opening speeches were delivered by Çağ University Rector Prof. Dr. Murat Koç, along with Prof. Dr. Adnan Sözen, Prof. Dr. Himmet Karadal, Prof. Dr. Şirvan Kalsın, and other invited speakers. Key presentations by Prof. Dr. Şükrü Uğuz, Prof. Dr. Muhammad Ashfaq, and Prof. Dr. Hasan Bozgeyikli made significant contributions to the academic program.
Throughout the congress, scientific sessions, panels, and paper presentations highlighted that artificial intelligence is not only a technological innovation but also a transformative paradigm affecting human psychology, social structures, and institutional systems. The congress effectively addressed the aim of understanding and clarifying the uncertainties brought by the AI era through intensive academic discussions.
A major panel moderated by Prof. Dr. H. Mahir Fisunoğlu featured Prof. Dr. Birol Fitik (HFT Stuttgart), Esra Özden (President of Entrepreneurship Ecosystem Association), Dr. Ali Kasta Mukendi (University of Lubumbashi), Ergin Turan (CEO/Consultant, Saisei Ltd.), Fatih Çağatay Baz (Osmaniye University), and İdris Albayrak (Founder of ALBA Space), who discussed the multidimensional impacts of artificial intelligence across sectors and society.
Another panel titled “Artificial Intelligence and the Changing Human Nature: Different Perspectives” was moderated by Dr. Sena Doğruyol, with contributions from Dr. Ayşe Şenay Koç, Dr. Kahraman Kıral, and Dr. Ufuk Kocatepe Avcı, offering interdisciplinary insights into the effects of AI on human nature.
Parallel sessions throughout the congress created a productive academic environment through presentations from diverse disciplines. In the closing and evaluation session, Prof. Dr. Murat Koç, Prof. Dr. Birol Fitik, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Saadet Sağtaş Tutkunca, and session moderators evaluated the key themes and findings of the congress in detail.
Social and cultural activities, including a musical performance by the Tarsus City Orchestra, enriched the participant experience and complemented the academic program.
Organized under the coordination of the Faculty of Arts and Sciences and the Department of Psychology at Çağ University, the XI. International Academic Studies Congress provided a highly productive platform with strong scientific content, interdisciplinary interaction, and significant academic contributions at both scientific and societal levels.
