FIRST SECTION

Purpose, Scope, Basis, and Definitions

 

Purpose

ARTICLE 1 – (1) The purpose of this Regulation is to regulate the principles and procedures concerning the aims, fields of activity, administrative bodies, duties of administrative bodies, and working methods of the Çağ University Career Development Application and Research Center.

Scope

ARTICLE 2 – (1) This Regulation covers provisions related to the aims, fields of activity, administrative bodies, duties of administrative bodies, and working methods of the Çağ University Career Development Application and Research Center.

Basis

ARTICLE 3 – (1) This Regulation has been prepared based on subparagraph (2) of paragraph (d) of the first clause of Article 7 and Article 14 of the Higher Education Law No. 2547 dated 4/11/1981.

Definitions

ARTICLE 4 – (1) In this Regulation, the following expressions mean:

a) Advisory Board: The Advisory Board of the Center,

b) Center: Çağ University Career Development Application and Research Center,

c) Director: The Director of the Center,

ç) Rector: The Rector of Çağ University,

d) University: Çağ University,

e) Administrative Board: The Administrative Board of the Center.

 

SECOND SECTION

Aims and Fields of Activity of the Center

Aims of the Center

ARTICLE 5 – (1) The aims of the Center are:

a) To carry out activities to enable students and graduates to plan their careers in the most accurate way in order to train individuals ready for life.

b) To conduct informative research to minimize the difficulties and problems that students and graduates may encounter in working life.

c) To guide our current students and graduates in finding internships and jobs, to conduct activities that continuously increase their knowledge and competencies, and to research and share expectations of working life.

ç) To support regional, national, and international employment with qualified individuals by sharing the results of these activities with all stakeholders.

Fields of Activity of the Center

ARTICLE 6 – (1) The fields of activity of the Center are:

a) To organize developmental seminars and trainings for the personal, academic, social, and cultural development of students and graduates.

b) To act as an intermediary for graduates and students for institutions and organizations with human resource demands.

c) To conduct all kinds of informative and guiding training, organization, and activities about individual career planning, job/internship searching, resume preparation and updating, and online and face-to-face interview techniques for students/graduates.

ç) To provide career counseling to graduates/students.

d) To support students/graduates in matters such as scholarships, education, and similar regarding international postgraduate programs.

e) To plan and implement the career planning course content appropriately.

f) To work on establishing and maintaining an alumni platform.

g) To plan and carry out events such as career days in cooperation with other university units, centers, student council, and student clubs working on career activities.

ğ) To conduct research, scientific studies, and prepare reports related to the Center’s fields of activity.

THIRD SECTION

Administrative Bodies and Duties of the Center

Administrative Bodies of the Center

ARTICLE 7 – (1) The administrative bodies of the Center are:

a) Director.

b) Administrative Board.

c) Advisory Board.

Director

ARTICLE 8 – (1) The Director is appointed by the Board of Trustees for three years upon the recommendation of the Rector among the University faculty members. The Director whose term ends may be reappointed.

(2) The Director may appoint one person among the Administrative Board members as an assistant with the Rector's approval to help in his/her work. When the Director's term ends, the assistant’s term also automatically ends.

Duties of the Director

ARTICLE 9 – (1) The duties of the Director are:

a) To represent the Center and chair the Administrative Board.

b) To carry out the administrative affairs of the Center.

c) To submit the Center’s annual work program to the Rector for approval after receiving the opinion of the Administrative Board.

ç) To contact national and international institutions and organizations related to the Center’s activities and carry out projects and mutual assistance in accordance with relevant legislation and the Center’s purpose.

Administrative Board

ARTICLE 10 – (1) The Administrative Board consists of seven members: the Director and six faculty members experienced in the Center’s fields of activity appointed by the Rector for three years.

(2) The Administrative Board convenes with a simple majority at least once every three months upon the Director’s call and makes decisions.

Duties of the Administrative Board

ARTICLE 11 – (1) The duties of the Administrative Board are:

a) To make decisions regarding the management and activities of the Center.

b) To prepare the annual activity report and the work program for the following year.

Advisory Board and Duties

ARTICLE 12 – (1) The Advisory Board consists of up to seven members appointed by the Rector for three years upon the recommendation of the Administrative Board from among people experienced in the Center’s fields of activity. Members whose terms expire may be reappointed.

(2) The duties of the Advisory Board are to evaluate and provide consultative opinions and suggestions on issues the Administrative Board requires concerning the Center’s activities.

FOURTH SECTION

Miscellaneous and Final Provisions

Cases Not Covered by the Regulation

ARTICLE 13 – (1) In cases not covered by this Regulation, relevant other legislation provisions and Senate decisions shall apply.

Repealed Regulation

ARTICLE 14 – (1) The Regulation on Çağ University Career Development Application and Research Center published in the Official Gazette dated 20/6/2018 and numbered 30454 is repealed.

Enforcement

ARTICLE 15 – (1) This Regulation enters into force on the date of its publication.

Execution

ARTICLE 16 – (1) The provisions of this Regulation are executed by the Rector of Çağ University.
