Undergraduate Transfer Based on Grade Point Average
In accordance with the relevant regulations of the Council of Higher Education (YÖK) and Çağ University, the qualifications, required documents, and other relevant details for students who wish to transfer (based on grade point average) are specified below.
Accordingly:
- Undergraduate transfers are conducted between diploma programs at equivalent levels.
- To be eligible for transfer, a student must have a minimum cumulative GPA of 2.29 out of 4.00 (equivalent to 60 on a 100-point scale as per YÖK’s Grade Conversion Table) for the completed semesters in their current program.
- For transfers from open or distance education to formal education programs, the minimum cumulative GPA must be 3.15 out of 4.00 (equivalent to 80 on a 100-point scale as per YÖK’s Grade Conversion Table).
- The four-point grading system is used to compare applicants’ academic performance. If a transcript does not include a 4.00 GPA scale equivalent, YÖK’s Grade Conversion Table will be applied.
- Applications are evaluated based on criteria set by the Senate, considering at least 40% of the applicant’s university entrance exam score (ÖSYS/YKS) along with their GPA. If multiple applicants have the same GPA, their ÖSYM/YKS scores from the year of university admission will be used for ranking.
- Students admitted through undergraduate transfer will receive course exemptions for previously completed and passed courses. These courses and their grades will be recorded in the student’s transcript, and the new cumulative GPA will include both transferred and Çağ University courses.
- For undergraduate transfer applicants to English-medium programs, students must pass the university’s English proficiency exam or present a nationally/internationally recognized certificate accepted by the University Administrative Board.
- If an application is made using false documents, or a student is enrolled based on such documents, the student’s registration will be terminated, and legal action will be taken.
- Undergraduate transfer is not allowed for the preparatory class, the first or last semester of associate degree programs, or the first two or last two semesters of undergraduate programs.
- Students transferring from scholarship programs will be considered to have waived their scholarships.
