OUR REGION’S STUDENTS ARE SURPASSING THE BORDERS OF THE WORLD

The planetarium within Çağ University’s Space Observation and Research Center is still a unique first among foundation universities in this field. Having started trial shows in March 2010, the planetarium has been regularly conducting its shows since its official opening in October 2011. Space-related films are shown to our students, academic staff, personnel, and guests.

New and modern telescopes have been purchased to observe celestial bodies in space. Students from schools in the region and personnel from institutions are given opportunities to observe space through telescopes both during the day and at night. The planetarium, which has hosted more than 10,000 student and teacher visitors from Mersin, Tarsus, Adana, and surrounding provinces to date, is open every weekday, free of charge, and operates by appointment.
