OUR REGION'S STUDENTS, WITH ÇUGAM (Space Observation and Application Center), ARE CONQUERING THE LIMITS OF THE WORLD

The Planetarium, located within the Çağ University Space Observation and Research Center, the newest of its kind in Turkey, remains the first and only one among foundation universities in this field. Having started trial screenings in March 2010, the Planetarium has continued its regular screenings since its official opening in October 2011. Movies related to space that are procured are shown to our students, academic staff, employees, and guests. New and modern telescopes have been purchased to observe celestial bodies in space. Students from regional schools and personnel from institutions are able to observe through the space telescope during both day and night. The Planetarium, which has hosted nearly 10,000 students and teachers from Mersin, Tarsus, Adana, and surrounding provinces, is open every weekday and operates with an appointment system. Under the center's roof, events such as Astronaut Film screenings with the participation of 25 guests from Kehl University in Germany, "Our Place in the Universe" film screening for 90 students from Silifke Taşucu Anatolian High School and 20 students from Çağ University, "Our Place in the Universe" Film Screening and Telescope Solar Observation for 70 students from Borsa Istanbul Primary School, 50 students from Adana Science and Art Center, 80 students from Private Deniz Vocational and Technical Anatolian High School, 35 students from Borsa Istanbul Primary School, 30 students from Hadiye Kuradacı Science and Art Center, and promotional film events for 320 students from Ahmet Güngör Primary School were organized.
