ÇAĞKAM (Çağ University Gender and Women’s Studies Application and Research Center) RAISES SOCIAL AWARENESS

Since its establishment, Çağ University Gender and Women’s Studies Application and Research Center (ÇAĞKAM) has fulfilled its duty to enlighten society with its continuously functioning dynamic structure and agenda.

The aims of ÇAĞKAM include:

Conducting research and engaging in educational activities in all areas related to gender and women both in our country and worldwide,

Encouraging scientific research in the field of Gender and Women’s Studies,

Supporting faculty members not only in their individual research but also facilitating collaborative projects among researchers from different disciplines and research fields,

Promoting the realization of national and international studies related to gender and women’s studies and encouraging research collaborations with other institutions and individuals,

Conducting studies aimed at identifying which topics gender and women’s studies research focuses on and where there are gaps in research.

In line with these aims, ÇAĞKAM, with its engaging themes; with the participation of expert academics, professionals, and young entrepreneurs in the field, signs events that address broader audiences every day, keeping up with the agenda and trying to answer the question marks in minds.

In addition to the events we organize and co-host, our center also pays special attention to actively using our Instagram and Twitter accounts. Short and concise posts explaining concepts related to gender equality, which we often encounter in daily life but think their full meanings are not well understood, are shared. We are happy to announce that during this current academic term, we intend to continue our events both face-to-face and online.
