On 18 May 2026, an event titled “Turkey-EU Relations and the Modernization of the Customs Union” was held.

The event titled “Turkey-EU Relations and the Modernization of the Customs Union,” organized in collaboration with the EU Application and Research Center and the Department of International Relations, was held with the participation of 98 attendees, including academics, students, and audience members interested in the field. The program addressed the historical development of Turkey-EU relations, the European Union’s current policies, and discussions on the modernization of the Customs Union.
