INFORMATION REGARDING THE 2024/2025 SPRING SEMESTER MAKE-UP EXAMS OF THE INSTITUTE OF SOCIAL SCIENCES
The make-up exam right covers all Master’s and PhD programs for the Spring Semester of the 2024/2025 Academic Year.
Students who took the final exams and failed (excluding those who received an “NA = Absent” grade) as well as students who met the attendance and exam requirements but could not attend the finals are granted the right to take the make-up exam for each failed course.
Students in Master’s programs who were eligible to take the final exams according to the academic calendar but failed (excluding those with an “NA” grade), and received the following grades are entitled to take the make-up exam:
FF = 0.00 (0–39 points)
FD = 0.50 (40–49 points)
DD = 1.00 (50–59 points)
DC = 1.50 (60–69 points; conditional pass)
Similarly, students in Business Administration PhD and English Language Education PhD programs who received the above grades (excluding “NA”) are also entitled to take the make-up exam.
The grade obtained in the make-up exam replaces the final exam grade.
Students in Master's programs who received a DC = 1.50 (60–69 points) are not obligated to take the make-up exam.
Students who fulfilled the conditions to take the final exam but could not attend it on the exam date are allowed to take the make-up exam.
Students of the Institute of Social Sciences at Çağ University who wish to take the make-up exams for their Master’s or PhD program are not required to submit a petition or justification (e.g. medical report, assignment letter, etc.).
No additional make-up exam will be organized for those who fail to attend the scheduled make-up exam.
Students who received at least CC = 2.00 (70 or above) as their final course grade are not eligible to take the make-up exam.
The make-up exams will be held between June 24–27, 2025, on a date and time determined by the course instructor.
Students planning to take the make-up exam must contact the course instructor before these dates to coordinate the exam schedule. Instructor contact information can be found at: https://www.cag.edu.tr/tr/akademik-kadro or via WhatsApp.
Students in Master's programs who received a DC = 1.50 (60–69 points) and still wish to take the make-up exam should consider that the new make-up exam grade will override the previous one, and there is a risk that their grade may decrease.
