Update to Our Sustainability Structure

In order to ensure that sustainability initiatives at our university are carried out more effectively, transparently, and within a well-defined institutional framework, our organizational structure has been updated. In this context, it is aimed to align with the Sustainable Development Goals, fulfill relevant regulatory requirements, and manage university-wide activities in a more systematic manner.

In accordance with the decision of the University Executive Board dated February 18, 2026, and numbered 2026/03, the following arrangements have been made:

🔹 The name of the “Sustainability Office Coordination” has been revised to “Sustainability Coordination.”
🔹 Water, Energy, and Carbon Units have been established under the Coordination.
🔹 It has been decided that the Coordination will oversee the process of defining the roles and responsibilities of these units.

With this new structure, it is aimed to advance our sustainability efforts in a stronger, more integrated, and more effective manner.
