The Mersin Chamber of Commerce and Industry is continuing its efforts to raise awareness on 'green' topics, such as environmental respect and nature consciousness, in the city.

The Mersin Chamber of Commerce and Industry (MTSO) has accelerated its efforts under the 2025 Green Transformation Year initiative. It has launched the "Green Transformation Training Program" to raise awareness about green and digital transformation in the city.

Through this program, representatives from public institutions, local governments, academia, and non-governmental organizations are receiving training under one roof on critical topics like the European Green Deal and the upcoming Carbon Border Adjustment Mechanism. The purpose of the five-day training is to facilitate institutions' adaptation to the process and to establish a common ground for collaboration in managing the carbon footprint. Representing our university in this training was instructor Özen Tekin. Özen Tekin aims to share the knowledge and experience gained with our institution in order to improve our university and pursue a more informed path in this field.
