Major Achievement by Çağ University in the Global Green Campus Rankings
Çağ University has achieved a significant milestone by advancing to 612th place in the UI GreenMetric World University Rankings 2025.
The 2025 results of the UI GreenMetric Green Campus University Rankings, announced in their 15th year, evaluate 1,745 universities from 105 countries worldwide. As a globally recognized ranking dedicated to assessing universities’ sustainability performance, the UI GreenMetric results highlight Çağ University’s notable progress in this field.
Having been ranked 702nd in 2024, Çağ University demonstrated strong improvement in its environmental performance and sustainability initiatives, rising 90 positions to 612th place in 2025. In addition, among 142 universities evaluated in Türkiye, Çağ University ranked 63rd, reflecting a significant achievement at the national level as well.
This advancement indicates that the following comprehensive efforts have gained international recognition:
- improvement of campus infrastructure,
- enhancement of energy efficiency and implementation of renewable energy practices,
- development of waste management and water conservation projects,
- expansion of sustainability-focused courses and research activities,
- dissemination of environmental awareness initiatives that strengthen student and staff engagement.
Çağ University’s upward trajectory in this area is the result of strategic initiatives coordinated by the Sustainability Office, as well as the dedicated contributions of academic and administrative units and the active participation of students. The University remains firmly committed to strengthening a culture of sustainability across all components of its institutional structure and to continuing its determined efforts to achieve higher positions in national and international rankings in the coming years.
