Cag University, Faculty of Arts and Sciences was founded in 1997 with the objective of training well qualified future scientists and teachers working in public and private educational and research institutions. Official Gazette: 09.07.1997, No.4281 (R): 23050 The program of English Language Teaching was founded to educate students with contemporary knowledge and skills to be able to perform a teaching job in public or private institutions. Qualification Awarded |
The students who have successfully completed the program will be awarded with a diploma in English Language Teaching. |

Specific Admission Requirements |
Students who have started studying in other domestic or international universities may apply for admission according to Regulations of Council of Higher Education and Cag University. See for details: Information About Çağ > Admission Requirements |
Specific Arrangements For Recognition Of Prior Learning (Formal, Non-Formal And İnformal) |
Students who have been studying at other universities may transfer to Cag University, ELT Program after the completion of first year. Students are exempted from courses they have passed providing that the courses have the same content. |
Qualification Requirements And Regulations |
A student is required to have a minimum CGPA of 2.00/4.00 and no failing grades. |

English Language Teaching Program is designed to equip the students with both theoretical and practical knowledge of rapidly changing world as qualified teachers of English to perform their job in private or public institutions. |
Occupational Profiles Of Graduates With Examples |
Graduates have opportunity to work in public or private institutions as English teachers. Some can find jobs as translators. |

Students may apply to graduate (second cycle) programs. |
Examination Regulations, Assessment And Grading |
The examination regulations are specified for each course. However, generally, there is one mid-term exam and one final exam for each course. See the details for the exam regulations, assessment and grading for each course in the Course Structure Diagram as stated in the Rules and Regulations of Cag University. |
Graduation Requirements |
The graduation requirements for ELT programs are the same as the general qualification requirements and regulations of Cag University. There is no additional requirement to secure the diploma degree provided that the students have passed all the courses in the curriculum with at least a DD grade and had a CGPA of at least 2.00 out of 4.00. |
